Sick hen

I found my 2 year old hen laying on the ground unable to stand. She keeps trying to balance herself with her wings.

Is she acting down is she puffed up? What does her eyes look like? Do you think she's hurt or sick?

Check her whole body for injury and particularly her legs and feet (top and bottom) for any injury, swelling, bumblefoot etc. If her legs seem fine feel her weight and breast bone to judge if she is thin which would suggest illness. Does she eat well? What do you feed? Any chance she got into something rotten/moldy?

Sometimes internal pressure from an egg or tumor or something can press on the nerves to the legs causing lameness, but in my experience that usually presents limp on one leg rather than the inability to stand.
