    The middle of nowhere
I have a buff orpington hen. Recently I picked her up to check her for lice and I noticed a nasty yellow crust built up around her vent. It reeks so bad that even after you set her down you can still smell it. I thought maybe it was a yeast infection but it doesn't seem like one, Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

I'm not sure. She's not swollen or red, and acts perfectly happy. [IMG]

My bets on vent gleet... Can't think of anything else right now. The vent gleet treatments won't hurt if it's something else.

Clean off her backside with warm water and take a picture of that.
