Yesterday and today, we had a few livestock auctions to attend, so I didn't pay as much attention to my animals as I would normally do. I know my goose wasn't acting like this early yesterday, so this has just happened last night or today.
I don't think she is hurt, but I can't readily catch her, and since she's already 'not right' I don't want to stress her out.
She is walking around (when she is walking) with her wings drooped down. She keeps shaking her head, and acts like she is unsteady on her feet, though she doesn't appear to be limping. She is about 10 1/2 months old, and has been laying eggs for about 3 weeks? 4 weeks? She layed an egg yesterday, but not today. Sometimes she lays daily, sometimes it's every-other-day.

I don't know what, if any, kind of diseases geese can get? We've had a pair of wild canada goose using the pond the past week or so, so I wonder if maybe they didn't bring something? I currently have 3 other geese, though 2 of them I just got yesterday. The other goose stays at the house all the time, while the one that is sick/hurt is on the pond all day and comes back to the yard at night to sleep. I have several ducks on the pond as well, and haven't noticed anything wrong with any of them, but they are even harder to catch than the goose would be.

Any ideas what could be wrong, or what I can do to help her?

Edit: She is also all 'scrunched up' looking when she walks around, not standing proud as the others do.

That thought had crossed my mind, but since she just laid yesterday, I wouldn't think it would be affecting her so bad this soon?

id post it in the emergency section... not sure if the goose experts would notice it in here

i hope she gets better!

Thanks to the few that responded. Apparently, she either ate something that upset her tummy, or possibly got kicked by one of the horses on her trip to the pond. Either way, she is just fine this morning.

Thanks, I think I figured out what her problem was. She laid an egg after rushing back to the pond, and this one is probably twice the size of her 'normal' eggs. I'm thinking she was just a bit uncomfortable...Silly bird had me worried to death!
