Hi guys, i have a 2-3 year old leghorn hen whose not feeling well, she has a poopy butt-NO blood in it, looks normal. She acts very weak, doesnt stand very well, its almost like her legs and feed dont want to hold her up and her wing kinda fluffs out beside her. but she is eating some and drinking a little ( shes very thin) ( Could be due to the fact i tried to cutt costs over the past month and got my chickens some cheap wheat from the Mill here in Idaho, although they are free range on our 6 acres as well so i didnt think much of it )( today i got the good stuff again). I brought her into the man at the feed store, he thought she had mites and i believe i saw one crawl under her feather it was almost clearish not much color to it, he also mentioned she was old for her breed . So i sprayed her under the wings, vent, and behind her head with Broco horse fly spray. I also de wormed and sprayed my entire flock of ducks and chickens today with Wazine, its the first time ive ever dewormed them and some are 7 years old.( i had no idea you had to deworm pultry). I also gave this hen 0.5 of Vitamin B complex orally. Is there anything else i should do for her? I recently cleaned my coop and there in a brand new spot so i just sprayed my nesting boxes and the surrounding area with the bronco as well. Im planning on sprinkling DE in there as well. In 14 days i will repeat with ivermectin. I have the horse paste so im assuming ill use that, and just put a pee size ball in each of there mouths? I have bantys, cochins, leghorns and domestic ducks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! over the past year i have lost 3 birds with the same symptoms. 2 young ducks and one old banty. They drink a TON but wont eat! And then they die.
