Thankyou for your response however this is what iam aware of . There are 2 "grades of DE, one for external and the other for internal even human grade consumption. We have the latter and it specifically says it's alimentary grade on the container.

I wouldn’t use DE for anything for my birds.. it causes more harm than good.
