We have 8 Rhode island Red chicks they are now beginning their 3rd week of life[IMG]. They all seem healthy, growing well just starting to change feathers. There's just one chick about half the size of all the others. Doesn't seem to eat or drink much and just sits in the coop lying down. Please reply if you know anything about what it is or how to treat it

Welcome to BYC. It's possible that the chick may be suffering from coccidioisis. I would start Corid (amprollium) in the water, and treat all chicks for 5-7 days. It also could be a runt, but cocci is very common at this age, causing diarrhea, lethargy, puffing up or hunching, ruffled feathers, and poor appetite. Be sure that the sick chick drinks the medication, or give it with a dropper carefully.

She doesn't seem to have diarrhoea, but she does get pushed around by the other chicks which makes me think she could be a runt. We separated her from the others and she seems better now.
