I have a turkey who seems incredibly ill. He is the alpha male of our group and for a couple of days he has been limping and his craw is sagging and apparently very heavy. My husband just caught him and while he was holding him by his back legs, lying flat on the ground (so on his craw) he began vomiting a vile smelling green liquid in enormous amounts. He is also quite gurgly (if that's a word) in his breathing (in other words he sounds like an espresso machine!) I was thinking that he might be bound up somewhere so that the food and water is not draining from his craw and if this is the case everything in there would be rotten (explaining the smell, sagging and his general listlessness) but I am by no means an expert and was wondering if anyone might be able to give me some advice about what might be wrong with poor old Terry!
