*Sigh* Today is the day for my Turkeys

I struggled with having my turkeys butchered, but had no problem with the meat birds - I was glad to see them go.

We had the turkeys tonight for Christmas dinner and everyone loved them and a few even said it was the best turkey they had ever had in their lives. I don't think they were exaggerating either.

I'm glad it was worth the effort and that they were enjoyed so much.

Nobody likes to do the "deed". We raise as much of our own food as possible and there is nothing like sitting down to a meal that totaly came from your own place.
