Silkie and her new baby...

    My silkie just hatched her first chick today. The second one came not long after. There are 8 more eggs in the nest. I am shocked that they hatched! It's my first time. I guess I didn't trust that the natural way would actually work! It's very exciting. Trying to attach the adorable photos to this message...

    Thank you everyone! That silkie mom was the most picked on hen in the bunch so I happy that she got to have the babies. No, she isn't for sale! LOL. But a very loud rooster IS!
