I'm going to put in an order for spring shipment of silkies and polish. My question is should I order a straight run knowing there will be multiple roos or order all girls? I love having roos but I won't kill them. So will they fight if I have too many? I know polish and silkies are pretty docile so any advice would help.

If you have too many there are bound to be several with a bad attitude. Save yourself the potential grief and order all pullets - understanding that you may get as much as 10% cockerels in the order.

It doesn't look like they offer all pullets? What do people do besides kill the roos they don't want?

You can rehome them. I have had good sucess rehoming roos, if they're a fairly docile breed, like Willows or festive looking like Polish.. [IMG]

Sell them at your local swap meet.
