My 1 week old silkie chick who is in with its broody mom seems to be breathing hard. Opening her beak with her breaths. Acting like she is sneezing sometimes. When I noticed she wasn't acting right I checked her and it looked like her vent was pasted up. So, I cleared it. Any suggestion what I could do. This is our first and only chick from our broody hatch. She has been in a pen with her mom and 2 ducks the broody adopted.

Have you tried a search yet for pasty butt? I am very new to raising chicks (had 6 and have lost 2, one to pasty butt--as a newbie I had no idea that poop sticking to chicks is dangerous--tried to clear it once and the babies protested so much, then it was too late). Some other people have suggested oatmeal (I have given it by taking raw rolled oats and grinding it into a powdery form) with chick starter for pasty butt, and of course yogurt...and plenty of water...who knows what your little chicky has but it would seem (to my inexperienced way of thinking) that those suggestions couldn't hurt? Also chick starter in smaller more powdery form...There have got to be some other great ideas for chicks having trouble breathing, too...

Thanks for your suggestion! I am kind of new to this too. Learning as I go. I am giving electrolytes and chick starter. I sure hope she snaps out of it.
