Can anyone help me identify these silkies? I believe the one on the left is splash but not sure about the one on the right.
They are from hatching eggs that I ordered and the possible blue, splash, lavender, white.

also if it is lavender will it be a problem to mix it in with my splash/blues? I’m not trying to breed lavender because I don’t have any others. But will it create a problem for my splash/blues?

thanks!

So hard to tell this young! The one on the right looks like a lavender. Left one could be a splash. Honestly, I am not sure.
If you are trying to keep your colors pure, then you should not mix your lavender with your blue/splash pen. Sounds like you got your eggs from a mix colored pen, so will genetically be hard to tell which birds are carriers of the lavender gene. Lavender is a recessive gene. It is possible to have BBS birds carry lavender, but will be hard to keep it all straight. Depends on what your breeding goals are. 😊
Hope this makes sense.

I see a headspot on the one on the chick on the right. It could be Lavender Cuckoo, Blue Cuckoo, or Splash Cuckoo.
Here's a headspot on a Dominant White.

The parents of your birds, either one, or both have the Barring Gene.
