Silkie chick with pasty butt

    When I had pasty butts I soaks bum (bum only. Try to keep the rest of the bird dry) in warm water. Soak and gently rub the area until clean. Be careful not to pull out feathers as well as you can. Do not pull on feathers/poop. That can cause injury. After I was done I dried them very well. And put them under heat lamp to warm up. Never had to use any meds or anything...but I generally caught them early. Good luck!
