I'm going to try to get another contest that's as successful as the Wyandotte one. That was fun!

Ok, here is a contest for the Silkies. I find them interesting. I just read this thing, about how Marco Polo described seeing "chickens with fur" regarding these silkies.

- Comment: These are mirical chicks. Was in the mail for 7 days and came when we had a ice storm electric was off for 3 days so they sit in my cold house they was the only 3 out of 9 eggs to hatch.

Color: Two black and one blue
Category: Eggs and Nesting
Comment: These three Silkies and Mallard hen shared that nest for quite a while. There were probably around 25 eggs under there (both chicken and duck), and they all hatched at different times. The duck came in handy, because she became REALLY territorial, while the Silkies sat back and enjoyed their nest. It really was a funny sight though.
