So glad you could join our community!

You might want to stop by your state thread and chat with your chicken neighbors. Maybe someone nearby you keeps Silkies. Scroll through this link to find your state thread...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you

Also, stop by our Silkies thread. Lots of Silkie owners out there. You can share pics, stories and ask any questions you may have about your birds....https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/297632/silkie-thread

Enjoy your lovely birds and welcome to our flock!

We're glad to have you.

You've been given some good links. Good luck in your search!

Silkies are a very popular breed - just know that they can be impossible to sex before 4-5 mos. of age and sometimes not till they crow or lay eggs. Someone who tries to sell you young chicks as definite pullets, etc. is banking on the fact that you don't know this. But, you do now, so you are forewarned

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I used to raise Black Silkies and the were delightful, sweet, adorable, friendly, and funny little birds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your Silkies.
