Hello! I’ve been looking for silkies or Cohhin Bantams for a while now to hatch MGB eggs, and finally found some CHicks at the store! I’d like to know what colors they are, and if it’s at all possible to tell gender this young? They are straight run silkie bantams

Impossible with silkies till at least four months, and to me one looks partridge and one black. :)

Silkies are extremely difficult to sex before 4-5 mos. of age and sometimes NOT until they crow or lay eggs. If these are hatchery chicks they may be lacking some important silkie breed traits.
