Are these two Silkie Cochin mixes? They have 5 toes, feathery feet, and head poofs. They're feathers are mostly black with some iridescent green in the sun and some tan on the neck. One has a red comb/wattles and the other has black/blue. Also, any guess on gender?

They look like Cochin and Silkie mixes. How old are they? The all black one looks like a roo.

Both look like roos to me, the second coloring is usually a male pattern, but age would help

They're somewhere between 8 and 12 weeks is my guess. I've only had them for about a week.

At that age, I would say both boys

x2 But the one with red on "him" still COULD be a pullet.

Is it the tan color that indicates roo? Because they both have it. It's just more faint on one.

Not exactly. But most of the time.

As a follow up, these are both Roos. I named them Blochie and Rochie by the color of their combs and the fact that I believe they are indeed Silkie/Cochin (Sochie) mixes. I also believe the gold leakage which developed on their necks looks similar to a Birchen Cochin.
