Silkie Cockerel - Quality? PICS

I took these of one of my silkie cockerels yesterday. He is around 6 months of age.

He has perfect toes, great toe feathering, and his eyes are very very dark, almost black.

I was just wondering what other silkie breeders though about this boy.

This is just my opinion

He looks pretty good. I don't have any buff any more...but I would only use him for breeding...only because he has color in his wings. He has just a little bit to much off coloring for me. Have you had the opportunity to show him? How does the top of his comb look? Does it have horns?

I am not really an expert but I do have a buff myself. I think he has a little bit more "smutt" than I'd like to see... His tail looks pretty dark, as well as the wing tips. His crest could be a bit bigger too. Other than that he looks very nice.

That was my only concern also, the off coloring. I was planning on keeping him as a back up breeder, just incase something happened to my other boys. He might have horns, not sure, I cant remember. I have not shown him.
