Hey Guys!

I have a neat looking 2 month old Silkie baby that's out of my white Silkie rooster. She's also out of either the black or the blue (more greyish-blk) Silkie hen. I would have though that the chick would be either all white or all black/blue, but she's all white w/ black spots...kinda like splashes. Is this what a Splash Silkie is?? Or have a created a new breed...The Dalmation Silkie? HAHA!! It's the neatest markings!

I don't have a name for her yet, so "Splash" might be a good one. What do you think?

I'll get pics tomorrow and try and post them.

She would be considered splash.

Here's my blue splash. When crossing a white silkie with wither a black or blue, the chicks can come out white, blue, black or splash.

Angie! What a BEAUTIFUL bird!!! Is she a show bird? I don't think my Silkies are show quality, but I love them just the same. I'll get pics today hopefully!

Thanks for the info! (I'm so psyched that I have a Splash Silkie! Something new!)
