Silkie gender

    Is the silkie red comb mean that it’s a male?

    It means it isn't a mulberry colored comb according to the standard of perfection for Silkies.

    But if it's an indicator to gender or not, kinda depends on age?? Chances are, it probably is a cockerel. :pop

    From what little I can see, it does appear to have streamers and a slicked back crest as well. So with that along with a red comb I would assume that it is a cockerel. :)
