This is our first batch of silkies, and I hoping for some help deciding what we have... any guesses will be helpful as we are deciding on names. They are all almost 8 weeks old. We have 6 chicks... 2 splash, 2 black, 1 dark grey, and 1 white.

I am not great at this, but I “feel” like the first grey one is a cockerel. I am not great with silkies though

No one is good at sexing silkies. I given up years ago on trying to sex silkies. They have made a lier out to many times. Flip a coin thats. about the best odds you will get. But I do agree the first doses look more likely to be a roster.

Silkies are incredibly difficult to sex as growing youngsters. But I'll inclined to agree with the others about you black and grey silkies.
