Silkie Girls or Boys?

My silkies are a little over 4 months. The black one is a little bigger than the blue one. They don't act like roos, but that could be because they are low on the pecking order. So far I haven't seen them crowing (we have too many roos to just hear crowing). The roos treat them like hens, and the hens treat them like hens.

I don't have much experience with Silkies, but I believe you have a pullet (black) and a cockerel (blue). Hope I could help.

I'm kind hoping for a male and female. Which one do you think is the pullet?
Also the Blue one is super soft and the Black one is slightly coarser.

Thanks. I got them for a member of my 4-H club who ended up not wanting them. I originally didn't want silkies because I thought they'd get dirtier than the others. Now they are some of my favorite flock members.

Black= pullet blue= cockerel Black is typier, blue, lower quality or mixed.

Actually silkies seem to get dirty during the day, and by bed time - most has fallen or been shaken off.
