Silkie hasn’t laid in four days - is she upset that her nest box is taken up?

Hi guys

I have four silkies and two are currently broody (on day 15 I think) so spend all their time in the nesting boxes. My other two PomPom and Lavender aren’t broody and are just going about their normal business, however Lavender hasn’t laid in four days now. I saw her up there a couple of days ago, but nothing came out. She’s not egg bound as I’ve felt around and she is also acting completely normally, pecking, eating, drinking etc.

I guess my question is could she be put off laying by the other two in the boxes all the time?

That is not the likely reason for her to stop laying. Silkies are not egg machines like other chickens. She can be at a pause in her egg laying. Also , possibly contemplating going broody,,, or a molt about to occur. The reasons can be many. As long as she is healthy,,, I think your worries should not be.
