Silkie Hen Color????

    Hi all! I was told this hen was a red....however after lurking around here for a while I think I've been misinformed. Could someone please tell me what color she might actually be ....if she is a pure color or mix....thanks!!

    First of all [​IMG]! She looks like a partridge to me. I am not positive though.

    Definitely a partridge pullet. 100% on both.

    Hmmmm, never heard of a red silkie. Maybe they meant buff? No matter....she's partridge. Cute too! [​IMG]

    hmmm....maybe I've been gullible.... I knew there were buffs, but I was told that there were reds too....This is one of my Roo's (please excuse his head, they had to temporarily be housed with some polish while renovations where being done and the Polish where just mean!!)

    Both red and buff silkies exist. THey are not the same. Buffs are a recognised colour. Reds are not recognised (in the US; not sure about other countries).
