I have two silkies that are about 5 months old. One has wattles and one doesn’t. Neither has a comb. No crowing but I think one or both are laying eggs. Both are skiddish, and kind of stay lower to the ground. They don’t stand up tall like silkie roosters do. They’re both the same petite size. The wattles are confusing me though!! I attached pics of the bird in question and one of both together. Sorry it’s from the back lol they were running around. Is this a roo or hen?

Your pictures aren't showing unfortunately.

Is the difference one has a beard and one doesn't?

They both look like pullets. Wattle size can differ from bird to birds, and they can enlarge when hormones are increasing, so perhaps the one is maturing quicker.
