Silkie hen

Just got a silkie hen and she is 6 1/2 months old and I was wondering when she might go broody? She has also started laying. I also have her with a Sultan Rooster.

Welcome! I have only 7 months of silkie experience and I have 2 white silkies. Mine are laying, and are favorites of our large buff orp rooster. They have already both been broody, but I don't want chicks til spring, so have discouraged it.

I would say she may go broody sooner rather than later! Good luck and welcome!
