Silkie incubating advice

These photos are Day 7 of incubating my silkie eggs. This is my first time incubating.. been at 99.5F & 55% humidity. Nothing visible as far as I can tell… should I give them a couple extra days ? I’ve got 13 in and they all look very similar, except some have darker areas but it appears to be just yolk, there’s no eye or veins visible in any. Looking for advice. Using Manna pro Harris Nurture right 360 incubator. Eggs are from two hens and I have one rooster who I’ve witnessed fertilizing hens… what are the odds none of my 13 are fertile.

Unfortunately those don’t look fertile to me. Here is a pic of what the veining looks like around day 5:

Have you cracked a fresh egg to check for fertility yet?

If you want, you could leave them in til day 10 just to make sure…it won’t hurt.

I’ve done fertility checks over the last couple weeks and the large majority appeared fertile. I ordered my incubator and threw in the first 13 eggs I got over the span of 8 days (I only have 2hens)… might just be bad luck.

Could be bad luck, or if they are new layers sometimes it takes a little bit for them to work! I hope you get some good eggs next time around!

Going to give them to 10days while I collect some more eggs, and likely start over. Thanks for the information! My two hens are just coming up to a year old next month. Fingers a crossed for more fertile eggs.

What was the success rate of your hatch? I'm about to put 11 of my 1 year old silkies eggs into my friends incubator tomorrow for the first time! How do you check the fertility of the eggs? I have 2 silkie hens and 1 silkie roo.
