Silkie male or female, help me all of you expert!!!

I have a Red Silkie that is between 20 and 24 weeks old that have not yet lay any eggs.

My Amaraucana, which was born at the same time started to lay a week ago.

When my dog goes outside and goes near the run, the Red Silkie is following the dog like it's chasing the dog. I am wondering if it is a male or female.

the pic is not showing up. it takes about 9-11 months before silkies lay. does it have any streamers in its crest ? longer strands

your pic is too small and not great. We will need side shots to look for streamers and front shots of the head and comb area.

But, if I was to judge by what I can make out, the comb area is red, and wide, and it being buff, (the males get pretty red on most) I would guess its a male and your not going to get eggs out of it. But, you are way too young, Silkies will not normally lay till later like the other poster stated at LEAST 7 months old if not longer.
