I'm considering getting a couple silkie mixed off of a lady I have dealt with before
The mom is a chocolate silkie and the dad is a mystery lol. They are satins though so it would not be a silkie.
There would be no way to tell based off of color would there? The leakage on her (?) makes me a bit wary but I'm very interested in the black one. Possibly a red as well. I just don't really want another roo as I do have two right now and they live very harmoniously.

I, like sourland, see no mention of age. But the three in front look like pullets so far. If you decide to buy, my advice is to get two to ease the transition into a new flock. If you are allowed to choose, buy the ones with the smallest combs.

Sorry,my cell is being a bit wonky. But yes, she had said they were hatched in November. Accidental hatch I guess. Lol. I am going today to see the quad in person and I'm going to try to see if I can see any obvious rooster development. Hoping the black turns out to be a pullet and at least one red. I will update 😊

I don't think that leakage is a reason to worry. Both males and females can have leakage, but they tend to get it in different places.

Leakage in the shoulders & wings is a male trait.

But leakage in the neck and breast is quite common in females.
For example, here is an article with photos of two hens:

One has much more leakage than the other, but both birds in that article are hens.

This is very informative! Thank you. 😁 It definitely eases my mind a bit. I LOVE my roosters. But, I'm just worried too many would cause problems. And I hate parting with them. Lol. So it would make it hard.

They look like pullets to me. Pictured are my silkie mixes at 9 weeks. First is a pullet. Other 2 (with red combs) are males. Last pic is of the 2 boys at 4 months. Ignore the mess- we’re in flockdown so I never have clean space for pics
