silkie question...???...need answer

a mess would be cool.... just one time though. I have a pair of partridge but my pullet is still too young to lay.... i think!!!! She hatched out on 11/27/09 or 11/28/09. Is she still too young???? She is still really tiny..... oh i don't know....lol.

I know it's not the "Proper" thing to do and all but I LOVE the "Calico" babies that it can produce!!! VERY COOL! I know I know..."Calico" means Buff & Blue(or something like that)...but to me when I think of Calico...I think of white being in the mix...like a Calico cat!

The two common phenotypes for calico are splash showing rust (original use of the term for silkies) and grey showing rust. I've also seen the greys showing rust referred to as tortoise or tortoise--shell.
