I have 11 Silkies between the ages of 4 mos to around 8 mos...not sure on the 8 months but not too far off. I know one of the oldest is a splash roo, one a blue hen and a paint hen. Not positive about the others yet, my poor quality red (from the youngest few) I think is a roo. youngest. He has no beard and his poof on the top is scraggly. What I need to know is if only the roos "chest bump" or will pullets do that too??? If pullets don't, then I have one heck of a number of roos!!!!

Pullets as well as cockerels will flare neck feathers and chest bump in play/pecking order situations.
