Silkie rooster concerns

Hey everybody I’m new to the group I’ve been having a little bit of issues with my silky rooster he is in a cage alone and has developed lumps all over his face. My first thought was fowl pox but I just don’t know, does anyone recognize it ?

Welcome to BYC - sorry for the problem. To me it looks more like a fungal infection than fowl pox. It will be interesting to see what others think.

We could guess but would do better with more clues.

What is your location? This tells us a lot. Do you have mosquitoes active right now?

Is there an odor to these strange lesions?

Do you have pigeons hanging around your place?

What has your weather been like recently?

How old is this little guy?

We are located in south Texas Oliver is two years old we do have a lot of mosquitoes currently no pigeons the weather recently has been a little colder highs of 70s lows in the mid 40s .Also there are no smells coming from bumps.

It's most likely fowl pox. Check inside his mouth to see if they are in there making it difficult for him to eat. If you have any Betadine or iodine, you can paint the lesions with that and it may help them dry up more quickly.

It's contagious, so keep him away from the others. You might want to look into getting the fowl pox vaccination for the others in your flock. https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_search_results.html

There are no lesions in his mouth just outside on his face , he’s eating and drinking good . I bought Hen healer to help bumps and electrolytes .
