Silkie Rooster or Hen?

I bought this paint silkie as a hen. Do you agree?

Well my lovely paint here ended up being a gorgeous Roo. Here is my Prince Charming!

That one's a bit of a toughy! How old is it?

First thought was hen looking at the feathers but that comb is a bit large for a hen. However, I've had older silkie hens with larger combs before.

It is about 5-6 months old.

Looks like a pullet to me, judging by the tail and head feathering, and the lack of any wattles. I am not positive, but it just seems shaped like a girl.

With the one in the front, I was assuming that since it is 6 moths old, it is beginning to mature. But you are right, the comb is a bit big. I am no expert, that is for sure.

The one in the back of the first pic is my beardless blue silkie roo who is 4 months old. The 6 month old paint is the the one that I'm unsure about because of her comb but, a couple people I asked locally who breed silkies is telling me she is a pullet.

I would guess cockerel, but I'm really not sure.
