Silkie sex and color suggestions

Hi, I have this beautiful silkie that is baffling us. We think it is a hen--nice round crest, no comb, no sickle feathers. But it is the same size as a couple roosters that are the same age. We are taking her/him to a show and was wanting some thoughts on the sex.


Also the color....we are thinking black, but she seems to have a little light color under the feathers so we are on the fence whether she is a black or blue. Any suggestions would be great.


Age is 6 months. We had 2 obvious roosters that are the siblings.

Silkies are one of the hardest breeds to sex. But judging by her overall appearance I'll say pullet.

I used to raise Black Silkies and she definitely looks like a Black Silkie pullet to me. She's a beautiful bird. )
