Lovely silkies, I am gonna guess that your partridge (#no 3???) is a boy as I have a partridge and it looks different from what my girlie looked at that age! But with Silkies you can never be sure till they lay or crow!

Ok, i've had #5 & #6 in the pen with my 2 cochin and 1 polish hens and single old english bantam rooster for about 2 weeks. I was just outside collecting eggs and I saw the rooster breed one of the silkies either #5 or #6 couldn't tell which one. DOES THIS MEAN IT'S A HEN??? or a gay rooster?

Yes males usually have a swooped back looking crest. Females crests tend to be perfectly round. It is best to wait until around 4 months old. Then you can really start to see the difference. Hope this helps. Best wishes
