    Here's my silkie who's age is pretty unknown since (s)he was sold at 8 weeks when she was much younger. Here (s)he is as approx 12 weeks taken today!

    (Shes on my lap here because once she decides where she wants to sleep, she stays here...)

    Also, any ideas colour-wise? I thought she was going to be blue then she started sprouting partriage feathers, now she has light tan feathers [IMG])

    That's a Pullet and color wise I would say black and partridge mix

    Thanks @Roada Red! I was thinking pullet since her little 'fro' fell down over the eyes like a hen would but of course with my luck all of my Silkies have been roosters [IMG]

    Out to pasture
    pullet - altho guessing before 4-5 mos. is a gamble. Sometimes you can't be certain till they lay an egg or crow.

    Thanks so much @drumstick diva , @BantamFan4Life & @Roada Red!

    One last question: do her tail tufts look like they have streamers? It looks like they are but I've never seen a silkie pullet so I don't know if all silkie tails look like this [IMG]

    I think they do but if it were a rooster there would be quiet a few of the streamer like things and hey would, curl down more than likely but they don't have to and ur welcome happy to help

    @Roada Red
    I started taking her out with my Jersey Giant chicks and I noticed my Silkie roo always comes over just for her/him! He does the mating/war dance with one wing while my baby just looks confused at him...Im not sure if its a mating dance or cockerel 'come fight me' dance...

    A picture from today maybe 4 months old by now? I can't tell the age since the breeder said she was hatched on Halloween but she looked too young
