Silkie/Smooth Sizzle

Hi Everyone,

Thoughts on this cutie being a smooth sizzle? Also thoughts on gender? 10 weeks old and sweet- the most docile in my flock.

Today I noticed she was walking funny, with her right foot all crouch up and her toes in a ball- when I looked up this issue up in this site, I found giving raw egg yoke and a liquid multivitamin is best I could not find poly vi sol without iron at any of my stores so i use an adult liquid multivitamin instead… Has anybody tried this and been successful?

Would love any tips/tricks

Totally a sizzle! Which is outdated for Satin- We had 3 smooth & 3 frizzle. But I appreciate your feedback

the feathers are all turned towards the head,
a satin is this:

what you have is a satin cockerel

Not a sizzle, looks like a satin like others said. Cockerel.

Three of the hatchlings have those curly feathers and three had smooth feathers which is very common with Sizzle hens, unless you breed only frazzles - which is dangerous .. you should get half the hatchlings smooth feathers and have to has hatchlings curly feathers but they are still sizzles… A frizzle is a NON SILKIE curly feather chicken, could be any breed. Look it up on the Internet there is a lot info for you out there on this subject. It’s confusing for most.

PS- Sizzle and Satin are now the same meaning. Nobody is using the term sizzle anymore it is either a smooth satin or a frizzle- So technically you’re right in saying Satin- but also it’s a Sizzle. Attached some info for you.
