Silkie vs Serama

    So one 20-week-old Serama just started laying BEFORE her 25-week-old Silkie coop mate. When does the Silkie start laying?

    Silkies are also slower at maturing and seramas being the "smallest breed of chicken in the world", they tend to mature faster then any other breed of chicken.
    Think of a feild mouse and an elephant. Field mice mature at 6-8 weeks and elephants mature at 8-10 years! so the smaller they are the faster they mature!
