When I came home from work I had a Silkie with a swollen shut eye and discharge. Taking her to the vet in the morning but I'm very worried.

is it just one eye or both? if it's one she probably got poked somehow. just keep her somewhere warm and quiet. she'll be okay until morning don't worry [IMG]

chickens are very tough animals and i've seen them live through much worse, especially with vet care. she'll be fine [IMG]

Thank you that makes me feel better. It broke my heart to see her little eye like that.

her name is Mary Nelle. She's my little worm hunter every saturday morning we go to all her favorite spots to see if there is something special waiting for her. If I linger at one spot to long she pulls my shoelaces.

I've just started with chickens in Oct and I love them to death. I'm going to the vet first thing in the morning. I'll let you know how she is. Thank you again for your compassion.
