Hey I have a silkie with wry neck and I've been looking online for treatments and everyone always has the same answer which is Vitamine E 400IU and selenium but I have looked around for these and they are very hard to find,(I'm from Belgium) I figure that for the selenium it is best I just make scrambled eggs (I would like to ask how many is ideal, also I should wait till they are completely cold?) When I googled I found this answer "A single large, hard-boiled egg weighing approximately 50 grams contains 15.4 micrograms of selenium." and am unsure if this means that if I would even scramble only 2 eggs, it would already exceed the suggested (25mcg) selenium intake. For the Vitamin E I have had crazy struggles, really no idea where I could even buy this, at my local pharmacy the guy had no idea and he only had some kind of human tablets that were vitamin e+selenium but very small pills and too high dosage (it was so small you couldn't even possibly cut it) I also went to a store that sells lots of products for animals, I have bought a couple different things by now, and was hoping someone could guide me on which would be the best choice, I will link you the ingredients of each of them. You can right click to zoom in on these screenshots too.

Hello Zachderky.
Welcome to BYC.
Strangely I'm having similar problems here finding plain vitamin E and a straight B complex. Everything seems to come as Multivitamins deesigned for specific ailments.
Needless to say none are for chickens.

Do you know what has caused wry neck? Like a vitamin deficiency, botulism, a neurological problem, or possibly even mareks?

Going with vitamin deficiency as it makes a lot of sense, I checked for marek's and she hasn't shown any symptoms other than the wry neck, also no traces of a head trauma.

What do you feed her?
A combination of corn, wheat, dari, peas, sorghum (its a mix of food suitable for chickens that I buy from the store)
I also give them dried mealworms (I have one other silkie that is currently perfectly healthy) they walk freely outside all day every day in a pretty big yard, but when the weather is bad and they can't go hunting worms in the yard I supply them some dried mealworms.

Would something like this work? You can right click the page and translate to english or ask me if you're curious about something, if I order within 30 minutes it claims it will be here by tomorrow.

edit: actually found a website that has it in english by default https://www.swansonvitamins.com/swanson-premium-vitamin-e-400-iu-400-iu-60-sgels#product-details

I'm going to sleep now, ordered the gels just in case, if they're good, how many should I be giving daily? there's only about a 9 hour window before it gets dark again. Also any tips on how much eggs I should be scrambling just to kinda get the selenium in there?

Those will work just fine:)
You can give your girl 1-2 scrambled eggs - it won't hurt her. You just need a small amount of Selenium for the uptake of E.
Eggs are a good source of protein and other nutrients as well.

I do recommend that you try to get some B vitamins into her as well. B1 is important. If those are not available as a supplement, you can give a little Beef Liver or crushed nuts.
Sometimes it's hard to find exactly what everyone recommends, you just have to think outside the box. Remember everything in moderation.
