Silkies roost right? My 3 girls (whom are not silkies) are now roosting together at night - they are all 10 weeks old. However, my silkie still prefers to sit on a piece of wood in the corner of the coop ... on the floor alone at night. I've even put her on the roost at night but she jumps down.

    Is this normal?

Yes, it is normal. My silkies sleep on the floor as they are unable to fly much. They don't seem to like heights which is understandable. A silkie flying is much like a rock falling.

I've been reading up on this. I'm so sad. I only have 1 silkie. Sad she won't have anyone to silkie pile with :( How will she keep warm?

Mine eventually all roosted, they just take longer.

Edited to add make sure your roosts start low and are stepped up, start about 6-8 inches off the ground with that much between them, silkies can't fly, only hop.
