    It would be disqualified from showing, but as long as it's just a pet it doesn't matter. [​IMG] I had a chick w/ 6 toes on each foot.

    I'm glad he's not the only silkie with 6 toes, he is our pet but I only wanted girls!! 30 hens 1 roo silkie

    Polydactyly (extra toes) can vary in expression. In extreme expression there can be almost an entire extra foot atop the main foot :O I had one of them and gave it to a pet home where she is loved and adored and not passing on the gene combination.

    More than 5 toes on Silkies is quite common. We have bred them specifically for the Polydactyl gene to the point that we end up with over-expression of the desired trait.
