silly question i have......

    HOOKERVILLE!!!
    when i was growing up we had a breed of chicken my father called a top notch..... has anyone heard of this breed? or is it a slang term for another? they were awesome layers and would love to get me some.

    They were probably a hatchery strain of some type of production bird. Many hatcheries did, and still do, give production strains a proprietary name.
    "Top Notch" is not the name of any recognized breed.

    thanks....from what i remember of them they were black and white and had feathers sticking up on there heads... not alot of them though maybe like 3-7 of them. they were very friendly and layed great for a long time.

    Were they large or bantam sized?

    Sounds like Polish chickens.
