Welcome to BYC

It's pretty common most ducks don't like to be picked up, I only pick mine up if I really need to other than my imprinted drake I can pick him up with out a fight. But my ducks will eat out of my hand and love to go worm hunting with me. That is enough for me. So try some treats and just sit and enjoy their company, but if you have to pick them up like for an emergency then by all means do it they may put up a fight but that is when it is for their own good. Wrapping in a towel helps to keep scratching to minimum.Where your ducks tiny ducklings when you got them? how old if not?

I don't know how old they were when I bought them and I really tried to pick them up everyday, but I just don't know if it was coming or not or if I'm trying to do something that's not natural for them and if I am scaring them away because now every time I go near them they run so I am going to try just sit any and not touching them and see if they come to me

Thank you

That is the best way to win them over be sure to bring some treats too. dried meal worms, little green peas thawed, chopped romaine lettuce . let us know how it goes.
