Hi everyone! I am new to this page , but I was really hoping I could get some help on if I have 2 cockerels in this group of birds I bought. I bought them from Big R at the end of feb. They are all the same age. I was told all hens. But I have 2 that are fighting every single day. Pulling the neck feathers jumping on each other etc. This is only my 2nd year raising chickens and my first group went so well and I never had these problems. So that's why this is definitely new to me. I ended up with 2 cockerels last time also, but they didn't start fighting this young!! I got 2 of each bird (2 amerucanas and 2 silver laced) and one of each looks different than the other, their combs are both different than the others and on the silver laced the feather patterns and tail feathers look different.

Wyandottes are hard to judge, because unless they're obvious they don't show for a while. I would keep an eye on that second one. But those EEs... The grey one with the red on his shoulders.... he's a cockerel. The red shoulders is a typically male trait. How old are they? They do look a little young. Give it a couple more weeks and we will know for sure.

Thank you so so much!!! I just don't want one of them to get hurt :( I was able to pick out my roosters last year fairly easier, but they never fought like this too they were older :(

I bought them as chicks at the end of feb. All at the same time. Yes that chicken is agressive with the 2nd silver laced Wyandotte. They are constantly fighting and grabbing the back of the neck feathers. :( this just feels so young to behave like that already. Mine didn't do that for a while, and I gave one of my roosters last year to a friend for his coop since I didn't have enough hens for 2 roosters
