Silver Laced Hen or Roo?

    New to keeping chickens I bought 2 hens a week ago. One has been laying eggs and the other hasn't. My neighbor says it looks like a roo. Thx for help :)[​IMG]

    How old is it? And could you please post a pic of its body and one of its saddle/tail feathers? It would help greatly

    It sure looks like a hen, and from that nice red comb it should be laying. Are you sure they're not each laying, just on alternate days? Then again, sometimes a move will throw a bird off laying for a few weeks, while others don't even miss a beat [​IMG]

    They are both hens. Only difference is one has a rose comb and the other has a single comb (the one you were questioning).
