I've thought Roustabout was a hen for the longest time - mainly because I refused to believe otherwise, hadn't seen any spurs and hadn't heard any crowing. He/she is 18/19 weeks old and is getting humongous ,and as you can tell is feathering out quite well. The tail feathers are unmistakingly showing the rooster side of roustabout - but just to be sure thought I would ask all of you. Is there ANYWAY possible this sweet beauty -still not crowing- could be a hen?

    thanks!

Looks like a little girl to me. Here's a pic of my SLW roo at about the same age:

Sorry, that is a roo. Tail feathers and coloring a total give away.

thanks everybody - i guess i'll have to succumb to the truth and start looking for him a new home. i live in the city and am unable to have roos. [IMG] he was my first chick. I suspected all along but fought hard to keep up the idea that he was actually a she....next is the search for some new HENS [IMG]
