Silver Laced Wyandotte Cockerel or Pullet!

    Here is one of my Silver Laced Wyandotte, it is 4 weeks and a couple days old. Is it a cockerel or pullet? [​IMG][​IMG]

    SLW chicks tend to be difficult to sex. At four weeks, I don't think you'd see wattles that big on a pullet. Time will tell, but I think that is a cockerel.

    I am going to venture a guess and say you have a roo there...here are two of my SLW at around 6 weeks...still barely a comb....keep us posted.

    That's the difference a couple of weeks makes in chicks - they go through a really, um....... interesting, phase of appearance about the age of your birds.

    Lol they look like they were up all night drinking and been huggin the john all day lol, but I still luv em.

    Your Silver-laced Wyandotte looks like a little rooster to me, too. In general, a pullet won't have that much comb and wattle at such a young age as four weeks.

    based on my pics at 14 weeks...notice the comb development...I would say you have roos....
