Silver Laced Wyandotte Cockerel?

I got three silver laced Wyandotte chicks on January 2nd. However, one of them is still extremely small compared to the other two. Could it be that it is a cockerel or just slow growth? This is our first time with chicks so we aren’t sure what to expect.

Give it some time. I have had a few smaller chicks that grew up just fine. It looks to be growing alright. Still too young to sex though

A little to early to tell, (s)he might just be a small one.

I had one that was much smaller than the rest and wasn’t doing well. We separated her for a couple of days and gave her lots of love, heat, and vitamins. She perked up almost immediately and was able to go back with her friends after 2 days. She never did get as large as the others. She’s 2 1/2 now and still pretty small, but healthy and beautiful.
