Just wondering if she is a roo! Shes about 5-7 weeks. She is also very hard to pick up!
With that much red and developing wattle already I'm guessing roo, but it's still early yet.
I don't know...I had 4 golden laced wyandottes and I posted pics of them at about the same age. Everyone swore they were all roos. Only two ended up being roos! I'm pretty sure my two cockerels had larger wattles than yours by that age.
Quote:X2, do you have a photo of the entire bird?
Ill try to get more pictures on later!
From what I have seen posted (I am a total novice) it looks like a girl. The roos should have a lot more white on their backs from what I have read on here.
Quote:The roos don't get the white coloring on their backs until they're older.
If any of you have pics of your hen or roo at this age. It would help a lot!
Quote:Mine are 2 and 1/2 months old in this photo. The girl is on the left, roo right. See how he's starting to get white patches on his wings compaired to the girl-plus he has less lacing (for now) on his breast area? He's also, slower feathering.
